Dr. Mattoo is a Professor of Pediatrics and Urology, and Vice-Chair of Pediatrics, Wayne State University School of Medicine. He is a member Board of Directors and the Treasurer of the Pediatric Nephrology Research Consortium (PNRC) of North America.
Dr. Mattoo did M.B., B.S, and MD (Pediatrics) from the University of Kashmir, India, and DCH and MRCP from the Royal College of Physicians, London, UK. He trained in Pediatric Nephrology at Guy’s Hospital, London, UK, and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NY, USA.
Dr. Mattoo is a nationally known expert on kidney disorders and hypertension in children. Among the conditions that he sees include patients with developmental abnormalities of the kidneys and urinary tract, hypertension, urinary tract infection, kidney stones, nephrotic syndrome, metabolic bone disease, lupus, and other immunological kidney diseases, and serum electrolyte abnormalities.
